The HTTS’s board is responsible for our activities. The association organises scientific conferences, distributes grants and edits the Hoitotiede (Nursing Science) journal. The mission and goal of the association
The mission of the Finnish Association of Nursing Research (HTTS) is to support and promote research in nursing science. The association provides a forum for sharing information and carrying out cooperation between researchers and developers in the field as well as universities offering education in nursing science.
The association is raising awareness of research in nursing science in society and is actively involved in regional, national and international science policy and societal discussions.
Vision
The Finnish Association of Nursing Research plays a strong role in promoting research in nursing sciences at the national level and exerting influence in society.
The association’s strategic objectives include promoting research in nursing science and its impacts at the national level by supporting research and publication activities as well as improving their visibility in society. A particular focus of the present strategic period (2023–2025) is to support post-doctoral researchers in nursing science.
Strategic objectives for the period 2023–2025:
• A national operator visible to researchers that promotes the networking and professional development of researchers.
• The nationally leading, impactful and attractive Hoitotiede journal.
• A geographically comprehensive and active network of regional committees.
• An active contributor to societal as well as social and health policy discussions.
